MCHD announces 15th COVID-19 death

BLOOMINGTON – Another person has died due to complications from COVID-19, the McLean County Health Department reports.

Officials report that a woman in her 80’s is the county’s 15th death.

Overall, the MCHD is reporting nine new cases of COVID-19 bringing the county total to 299.

At this time, 32 individuals are isolating at home, and one is in the hospital.

The cumulative positivity rate has jumped to 2.0%, and the rolling 7-day positivity rate through 7/8 is 2.6%.

The Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting 1,018 new cases and 20 additional deaths. The statewide totals stand at 150,450 cases and 7,119 deaths.
