BLOOMINGTON – The Livingston County Health Department building will be closed to the public for two-days for deep cleaning after staff tested positive for the Coronavirus.
In a news release, LCHD says staff members of the health department tested positive while in quarantine and did not have contact with the general public.
“In an abundance of caution, LCHD officials have chosen to close the building to the public to ensure that all areas are properly deep cleaned and sanitized, as well as have all employees tested for COVID-19,” said Erin Fogarty, Livingston County Health Education, and Marketing Director. Even though the building will be closed to the public, LCHD will continue to work diligently to meet the everyday needs of county residents while aggressively addressing the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.”
LCHD did not provide how many staff that tested positive for COVID-19.
The building will be closed to the public on August 6th and 7th.
