SPRINGFIELD – Illinoisans need each other, and Illinoisans are watching out for each other, Gov. JB Pritzker said Wednesday night in a Springfield church during an interfaith memorial for state residents whose deaths are attributed to coronavirus.
Pritzker said he sees the caring of Illinoisans when the National Guard staffs up testing sites, and when factories convert their production to that of hand sanitizer.
How does one comprehend 190,000 deaths in our country? Over 8,000 in our state alone?” asked Rabbi Barry Marks, one of many Springfield faith leaders to take the pulpit.
“How do you wrap your mind around numbers that stagger our imagination?”
