BLOOMINGTON – Businesses in McLean County wanting to be COVID-compliant won’t have to go far to find protect face coverings.
UniFirst Corporation on Thursday donated 10,000 face masks to the McLean County Chamber of Commerce.
As businesses open up again, employees and customers are required to wear them. This takes some of the weight off of business owners’ shoulders, according to the chamber.
“We want people to feel safe when they go into a business. We want businesses to stay open, students to stay here so we want to make it as easy as possible to do business locally,” said Charlie Moore, the chamber’s president and chief executive officer.
UniFirst also donated hand sanitizer.
Business owners can call the chamber to get supplies.
UniFirst, based in Wilmington, Mass., makes and markets workplace uniforms and protective clothing.
