BLOOMINGTON – One person was injured and a car was split in two after a Tuesday-morning accident in Bloomington, according to police.
The accident happened around 10:56 a.m. near the area of South Mercer Avenue and Kemmer Lane, Bloomington Police Department Assistant Chief Chad Wamsley told our news partner HOI ABC.
The car, said Wamsley, clipped another car and then hit a tree when it was split in two.
The driver of the car that crashed into the tree was ejected from the vehicle and taken to an area hospital. The extent of the injuries were not known Tuesday afternoon.
An accident reconstruction team was called to the scene.
