BLOOMINGTON – McLean County health officials Thursday reported 66 new cases of coronavirus as the county’s rolling positivity rate inched up to 7.5%.
There are still 22 McLean County residents in the hospital due to COVID, according to the health department. 599 people are isolating at home.
McLean County hospitals are reporting 65% of ICU beds in use, 77% of total beds in use, and 28 people hospitalized for COVID.
There have been 136 COVID-related deaths in the county.
COVID-19 Vaccine Update
Under the state’s vaccination plan, Phase 1A and Phase 1B include an estimated 50,000 people in McLean County. Appointments are required for vaccine clinics at this time, and can be made through the health department’s website https://health.mcleancountyil.gov. Due to high demand, all appointments for the first posted clinics have been filled. The public is encouraged to continue checking the calendar on the Health Department’s website as additional clinics will be added.
