BLOOMINGTON – Since March, indoor exhibits at the Miller Park Zoo have been closed due to COVID-19. That will change on Monday when the zoo reopens its buildings at a 50% capacity.
“That means the Katthoeffer Animal Building, Tropical Rainforest and ZooLab can reopen,” said Miller Park Zoo Director Jay Tetzloff. “Those have been closed since March and when we reopened in June we couldn’t have our indoor buildings open. This is us getting back a little bit closer to normal.”
Guests will be asked to socially distance and masks are required, said Tetzloff.
“We are just excited to get people out in those buildings and show the snow leopard cubs for example.”
The zoo is located at 1020 South Morris Avenue. More information about the zoo can be found here.
