133 new coronavirus cases reported in McLean County; Region 2 moves to Phase 4

BLOOMINGTON – The Illinois Department of Public Health on Monday announced that Region 2, which includes McLean, Livingston, Woodford, and Tazewell counties, is moving to Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois plan.

That means sports can be played at the intraconference level and restaurants can allow parties of up to 10 people. As of Monday, five of the state’s 11 regions are in Phase 4.

Meanwhile, local health officials reported 133 new COVID cases in McLean County. There are 22 McLean County residents in the hospital due to COVID and 539 are in home isolation. Local hospitals are reporting 69% of ICU beds in use, 79% of total beds in use, and 19 people hospitalized for COVID-19.

The county’s rolling positivity rate dropped to 5.3%. 175 additional people were released from isolation, now 12,828 have recovered.
