Rolling positivity rate above 4%; McLean County adds 38 new coronavirus cases

BLOOMINGTON – McLean County’s rolling positivity rate inched up to 4.2% as local health officials Wednesday reported 38 new cases of COVID-19.

The number of active cases has also continued to rise and is at 310. There are 24 McLean County residents in the hospital due to COVID and the rest are in home isolation.

The health department says McLean County hospitals are reporting 65% of ICU beds and 82% of total beds in use.

There have been 177 COVID-related deaths in the county.

COVID-19 Vaccine

Over 59,000 doses have been administered in McLean County. According to the Illinois Department of Public Health, over 11% of the county’s population is fully vaccinated.
