Assistant Corps Officer joins Bloomington Salvation Army

BLOOMINGTON – A new assistant corps officer has joined the Bloomington Salvation Army.

Lt. Katherine Reid will serve under Majors Dan and Laura Leisher.

She replaces Lt. Justin Tracy, who served as Assistant Corps Officer in Bloomington for the past two years.

Originally from Lawrence, Missouri, Lt. Reid’s first encounter with the Salvation Army was when, as a child, she briefly lived at a Salvation Army shelter with her mom.

She became involved with the Pathway of Hope Program, which provides services to individuals and families who seek to overcome challenges like unemployment, unstable housing, and lack of education.

She began her training as a Salvation Army Officer in 2019.
