BLOOMINGTON – Gas prices in Illinois are down 5.2 cents over the past week, averaging $3.23 a gallon.
According to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 4,378 stations in Illinois, gas prices are 7.2 cents lower than a month ago, but still up a dollar compared to this time last year.
The cheapest station in Illinois is priced at $2.55 today while the most expensive is $3.89, according to GasBuddy price reports.
The national average has dropped about two cents over the week, averaging $3.15 a gallon.
Neighboring areas and their current gas prices:
Peoria- $3.21/g, down 3.7 cents per gallon from last week’s $3.25/g
St. Louis- $2.88/g, down 0.4 cents per gallon from last week’s $2.88/g
Champaign- $3.05/g, down 8.7 cents per gallon from last week’s $3.14/g
