BLOOMINGTON – Another McLean County resident has died from COVID-19 complications, bringing the number of lives lost to 263 since the start of the pandemic.
The McLean County Health Department says it was a man in his 80s not associated with a long-term care facility.
Local health officials Wednesday reported 56 new cases of coronavirus, with 303 cases being reported over the past week. Here’s the weekly age breakdown for all cases:
- 0-11: 47
- 12-17: 22
- 18-19: 11
- 20s: 49
- 30s: 43
- 40s: 40
- 50s: 23
- 60s: 21
- 70s: 22
- 80s: 15
- 90s: 10
- Total: 303
The health department says there are currently 28 McLean County residents in the hospital due to COVID. 302 residents are in home isolation.
The county’s rolling positivity rate inched down to 2.4%.
COVID-19 Vaccine
On the vaccine front over 188,000 doses have been administered locally with 54% of the McLean County population fully vaccinated. Fully vaccinated residents by age category:
- Age 12-17: 56.66%
- Age 18-64: 58.74%
- Age 65+: 90.07%
