BLOOMINGTON – Another McLean County resident has died from COVID-19, as county health officials recorded 68 new virus cases since Friday.
MCHD officials report the latest death is a male in his 90’s who was associated with a long-term care facility. There have been 276 COVID-related deaths reported in the county.
In addition, 12 McLean County residents are hospitalized due to COVID-19. At last count, ten people remain hospitalized in the county with COVID-19.
Health officials also report the county hospitals are reporting 85% of ICU beds and 88% of total beds in use, down from 88% of ICU beds and 89% of total beds in use on Friday.
The county’s cumulative positivity rate declined to 4.1% from 4.1% on Friday. The county’s 7-day rolling positivity rate also declined to 1.5% from 2.5% on Friday.
County officials report approximately 198,278 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the county, and 55.95% of the population are fully vaccinated.
The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) reports 57.23% of Illinois residents are fully vaccinated.
