Bloomington man identified as victim of Monday night shooting in Peoria

PEORIA – The Peoria County Coroner’s office has identified a Bloomington man who died of multiple gunshots after a shooting in Peoria on Monday.

On Monday night, officers responded to a shot spotter alert where 12 rounds were fired in the 900 block of South Greenlawn.

According to a news release, officers found Adrian Kendrell Murphy, 35, of Bloomington, lying on the street at West Ann and South Greenlawn with multiple gunshot wounds.

Murphy was transported to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.

The case remains under investigation by the Peoria Police Department.
