McLean County Habitat for Humanity names new Executive Director

BLOOMINGTON – The Habitat for Humanity of McLean County welcomes a new Executive Director with more than 37-years of experience.

On Wednesday, the nonprofit organization said Dr. Roger Scott brings over 37-years of experience in education as a teacher, a coach, and administrator to the organization.

In addition, Dr. Scott brings those skills and seven years of experience as a volunteer to the McLean County organization.

“I believe in the mission of this Christian housing organization that has helped more than 700 people construct, rehabilitate, and preserve their homes in McLean County,” Dr. Scott said in a news release.

Before being named to the Executive Director position, Dr. Scott served on the Habitat McLean County Board of Directors until he was appointed Executive Director.

During his board tenure, Dr. Scott served as part of the retired crew, who helped build homes across the twin cities.

“I can guarantee anyone who volunteers for Habitat McLean County will feel better and experience a boost in your physical, mental, and emotional health,” Scott added.

Dr. Scott’s tenure as Executive Director began Dec. 26, 2021.
