Lincoln man dies after accident at Sam’s Club in Normal

NORMAL – A Lincoln man was killed early Wednesday morning in an accident at the Sam’s Club loading dock.

According to a news release, Normal Police Officers responded to Sam’s Club at 2151 Shepard Road around 6:00 a.m.

Police say Allen Liesman, 51, of Lincoln, was trapped between a semi-truck trailer and a loading dock and died from his injuries.

Preliminary autopsy reports indicate Liesman died from traumatic compressional asphyxia due to being trapped.

Toxicology testing is pending.

The incident remains under investigation by the McLean County Coroner’s Office and the Normal Police Department.
