Man found guilty of murder after 2018 Bloomington homicide

BLOOMINGTON – A Bloomington man has been found guilty of first-degree murder in the 2018 death of Trevonte Kirkwood.

Jordyn Thornton, 22, was found guilty Thursday on the six different counts.

The incident occurred in the 1300 block of North Oak Street on October 30, 2018.

Kirkwood’s death was the 10th homicide in Mclean County that year.

Thornton will be sentenced April 14.
