BLOOMINGTON – Average gasoline prices in Illinois are unchanged over the last week, averaging $4.58 a gallon, according to GasBuddy.
While gas prices remained the same over the week, GasBuddy says prices are 91 cents higher than a month ago and $1.58 more expensive than a year ago.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in the state is priced at $3.87 a gallon while the most expensive is $5.49 a gallon.
The national average was unchanged over the week, staying at $4.32 a gallon.
“After a furious increase in the national average over the last two weeks, the top appears to be in with average gas prices slowly starting to decline over the last few days,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysts at GasBuddy. “While the decrease could be short-lived, it is nonetheless a well-needed break from the large surge in gas prices we’ve experienced over the last few weeks.”
