BLOOMINGTON – After 45 years in education administration, Central Catholic High School Athletic Director Hud Venerable announced that he will retire July 1.
Venerable took over the Saints athletic programs in 2017. During that time, the Saints added girls swimming and boys lacrosse to their roster of athletic opportunities and hosted several IHSA regional and sectional championships.
“Coach Venerable has been extremely dedicated to building and supporting every athletic program at Central Catholic,” said Principal Sean Foster in a news release.
“I would like to thank Sean Foster for giving me the opportunity to serve in this position” said Venerable. It has been an honor and a privilege to be associated with this amazing school. Thank you to the faculty and staff for their unwavering support of our student-athletes.”
School officials say the search for a new athletic director begins immediately.
