HSCI Happy Tails

The Humane Society of Central Illinois (HSCI) is changing the way they fundraise during the month of May, 2022. Instead of a one-night only gala with an auction, HSCI invites the entire community to get involved during HAPPY TAILS from April 30-May 21.

Happy Tails month will include:

  • April 30, 5-7 p.m.: “Drags & Wags,” a family friendly drag show with pet costume contest at Station Saloon. Registration for the contest opens March 21. Space is limited.
  • May 1 at midnight: Online bidding opens on auction items ranging from weekend getaways and an overnight with a Tesla to beauty baskets and gift cards to local restaurants and shops. The auction site link will be live on April 1st and bidding begins May 1. It will be available 24/7 through May 21st.
  • May 7, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.: Meet and Greet with adoptable pets at Pet Supplies Plus
  • May 14, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Meet and Greet with adoptable pets at the Bloomington Tesla Service Center
  • May 21, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.:  Open House and Expo at the shelter at 423 Kays Drive that will include food, local businesses, K-9 demonstration, tours, and more.
  • May 1 – May 21: Treasures & Treats, a Community Scavenger Hunt

A full schedule of events, plus a registration link for the pet costume contest will be posted soon, along with lists of business sponsors, featured auction items, the auction site link, and plenty of details about the Open House on May 21.
