Crash kills one person in eastern McLean County

MCLEAN COUNTY – Illinois State Police said one person died in a crash that happened early Wednesday evening at the intersection of Illinois Route 9 and the LeRoy-Lexington Blacktop.

The person who died was the driver of a passenger car that collided with some type of commercial vehicle, according to Illinois State Police.

The crash was reported a little after 6:30 p.m. No information was given whether there were other injuries.

The victim’s name was being withheld so authorities can notify relatives.

State Police said the investigation is continuing.
