Miller Park Zoo hosts 131st birthday celebration Saturday

BLOOMINGTON – Bring out the candles and cake as Miller Park Zoo is celebrating 131 years with a party on Saturday from Noon to 3:00.

“We are celebrating our 131 year in existence. This is an annual event that we have been doing for a long time,” said Zoo Superintendent Jay Tetzloff.

“We will have cake while supplies last, crafts, and activities. Just a day to celebrate the zoo being around for 131 years.”

Admission to Miller Park Zoo for youths (ages 3-12) is $4.95 per person, and adult admission is $6.95 per person. Children ages 2 and under are free. Senior Citizens (ages 60 & up) and Military admission is $5.95 per person. Parking is also free.
