BLOOMINGTON – A 34-year-old Posen, Illinois, man is behind bars in McLean County for his alleged involvement in a robbery of a Bloomington pawn shop.
In May, Terrance Jones and another suspect entered the shop in the 2000 block of Ireland Grove Road.
Michael Moss, who owns McLean County Exchange pawn shop, said two men came into his shop pretending to sell him something.
When Moss turned around, Jones and another suspect allegedly jumped him.
“They wrestled me to the ground, and then they pistol-whipped me with the Uzi (a gun),” Moss told HOI ABC News.
Two shots were fired during the struggle.
On Tuesday, Posen police arrested Jones on McLean County warrants for armed robbery and aggravated battery.
In addition, Jones was charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.
The bond is $70,000, and police are asking the public for help in locating a second suspect.
