UPDATE (NORMAL) – Illinois State University Police Department says the two pedestrians were ISU students.
NORMAL – Two male pedestrians are in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle outside Pub II early Thursday morning, according to Normal Police.
Police said a car crashed into Pub II, located at 102 North Linden Street, and hit the two pedestrians around 12:30 a.m.
Officers and members of the Normal Fire Department arrived on scene and rendered aid to the victims. Authorities said both pedestrians are in critical condition and one victim was life-flighted to a hospital in Champaign.
The condition of the driver is unknown.
Crash investigators were called in to assist with the investigation. Detectives from the Normal Police Department are continuing the investigation. Further updates will be announced as they become available, according to a news release.
