BLOOMINGTON – A Jackson, Tenn. man faces armed robbery charges in McLean County after a Bloomington business was robbed late last month.
Police report Marcus Folks, 41, allegedly robbed a business in the 2400 block of S. Main St. around 8:30 p.m.
Folks allegedly flashed a handgun and demanded money from the register.
The employee allegedly gave Folks money from the register, and the suspect fled the scene.
Police allegedly attempted to stop Folks, but a high-speed pursuit continued on the interstate, where Folks crashed the car into a farm field near the Carlock exit.
Folks face charges ranging from armed robbery with a firearm to aggravated robbery, and numerous traffic-related offenses.
Folks has not appeared in a bond hearing.
