ISU PD is asking for help in solving a recent fraud case

NORMAL – Police at Illinois State University are asking for the public’s help in solving a recent fraud investigation.

Late last month, two people allegedly stole a debit card from a student at ISU.

“A gentleman had his wallet either stolen, or lost, and somebody picked it up on campus, but within really minutes it seems like they were already trying to use his cards,” ISU Police Chief Aaron Woodruff said on WJBC’s Afternoon Show.

The pair allegedly used the card to purchase $500 worth of goods at Walmart in Normal.

The suspects were seen driving away in a dark-colored vehicle, possible an SUV.
