BLOOMINGTON – Two Bloomington men are behind bars in McLean County after a Bloomington man was found with multiple gunshot wounds this past weekend.
On Saturday, authorities found Jamere Bew, 31, of Bloomington, in a ditch off 1025 E. Rd. in Heyworth.
Bloomington Police received a call around 7 a.m. Saturday morning for a report of a female looking for a male, who was alleged to be the victim of violence in Funks Grove Township.
Authorities report five and a half hours later, they found Bew unresponsive in a ditch in rural Heyworth.
Preliminary autopsy results indicate that Bew died from multiple gunshot wounds.
After a short investigation, members of the Bloomington SWAT Team detained Justin Kletz, 26, and Derek Siebring, 18, both of Bloomington.
The pair were arrested at an apartment in Bloomington in the 1600 block of Springfield Rd.
The incident remains under investigation by the McLean County Coroner’s Office and Illinois State Police.
