MCLEAN COUNTY – A McLean County woman stands accused of kidnapping a man and beating him with a metal pipe.
According to an arrest report, a man called police to report a noise complaint late last week. When the man opened his front door, he found Katie Franco, 40, allegedly threatening him with a knife.
McLean County Prosecutors allege Franco then put the knife to the man’s ribs and tied him to a chair. Prosecutors say Franco then repeatedly beat the man with a pipe on his legs and forearms.
Police reported that the man was able to get away and called authorities.
Franco faces one count of aggravated unlawful restraint, one count of domestic battery, and one count of domestic battery with bodily harm.
Franco, who was previously charged with domestic battery in 2023, remains in the McLean County Jail.
