BLOOMINGTON – A traffic stop on a car in Normal early Saturday morning resulted in the arrest of two McLean County men.
Around 2:45 a.m., NPD pulled over a car after they failed to stop before exiting an apartment complex parking lot.
During an investigation, police discovered the rear seat passenger, Surrell Austin, 23, had a warrant for his arrest in Champaign County.
Thanks to the help of a police K-9, authorities found 12 grams of cannabis, an uncased pistol, and a loaded pistol with a magazine under the front passenger seat.
McLean County prosecutors charged Austin with three counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
In addition, prosecutors charged Jametriel Hudson, 23, with two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
Austin and Hudson remain behind bars in the McLean County Jail.
