NORMAL – A Normal author wants to find the keys to an unsolved serial killer cold case.
It’s the subject of his new book Dead End: Inside the Hunt for the I-70 Serial Killer.
“Police identified that the gun used was the same gun used at every location. And then it was like there was more. I was like, “What could be more than a serial killer?” The gun was a 1918 World War I German Navy Target pistol,” Cyphers said on WJBC’s Afternoon Show.
For Bob Cyphers, who worked in television newsrooms for decades, the case surrounding the I-70 serial killer provides many twists and turns.
The killings left six store clerks dead across Interstate 70 in the Midwest.
The case remains open, and authorities ask for the public’s help in finding the killer.
Cyphers remains part of an FBI task force consisting of agents from across the United States.
