NORMAL – Pickle Ball players can look forward to new indoor pickleball locations in central Illinois.

According to a news release, The Picklr is expanding its indoor pickleball franchise to Bloomington-Normal. It will be located at 1503 E. College Avenue in Normal and is expected to open in Fall 2024.

“We are thrilled to bring The Picklr’s state-of-the-art pickleball facility to Bloomington-Normal,” said Alex Burge and Adam Bell, members of the Franchise Ownership Group. “As a management group that knows and loves the twin cities so dearly, and with pickleball quickly becoming one of the most desirable ways to stay active, spend time with others, and enjoy some friendly competition, we wanted to ensure we partnered with the best-in-class option for indoor pickleball.”

The 30,000-square-foot Normal location will feature nine courts, a full pro shop, private event space, unlimited league play and open play.

The Normal location will be the first of four new locations opening in central and western Illinois. Other locations are expected to open in Peoria, Champaign-Urbana and the Quad Cities.

These locations are part of an expansion that will be opening 154 new Picklr locations across 23 states that will be opening over the next few years.

More information on the Normal location is available on The Picklr’s website.

COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
