SPRINGFIELD – The annual march from Springfield BOS Center to the Capitol was more than 1,000 strong – to show support of the Second Amendment.
The Illinois State Rifle Association put on its annual I-GOLD – Illinois Gun Owners Lobby Day.
The ISRA’s executive director, Richard Pearson, said one of the legislative priorities this year is to defeat a proposal to suspend one’s driver’s license when their FOID card is taken away. Pearson says the two really aren’t related – and that most revocations are for administrative reasons.
“It just happens to be, maybe you forgot to pay it,” said Pearson.
The event was the 18th annual I-GOLD.
