NORMAL – A former Heartland Community College baseball student-athlete now has another accolade to his name – two-year college athlete of the year.
The National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators named Sam Antonacci the Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Antonacci helped Heartland to a 2023 Division II baseball World Series Championship.
During his tenure at Heartland, Sam Antonacci earned an impressive 3.90 G-P-A while pursuing an Associate of Arts degree.
Last year, Antonacci was named an All-American and the Division II National Player of the Year.
Antonacci currently plays Division II baseball at Coastal Carolina University.
