One dead after two-car crash in rural McLean County

MCLEAN COUNTY – An Indiana man is dead after a two-car crash in McLean County on Monday.

According to the McLean County Coroner’s office, 59-year-old Scott Mcilrath of Kokomo, Indiana died from multiple blunt injuries.

The McLean County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened at 1600 N 4000 E Road in Anchor Township. Police said the crash involved a 2019 Ford Escape and 2020 Equinox. The Equinox driver is a minor and was released to his parents after being found stable at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center.

Toxicology is still pending and the incident remains under investigation.
