Pair arrested in Pontiac for crack cocaine and cannabis

LIVINGSTON COUNTY – Two individuals in Livingston County stand accused of manufacturing crack cocaine throughout Central Illinois.

Last week, Livingston County Sheriff Deputies were alerted to a vehicle with a suspended registration after passing a Flock Safety camera.

That Deputy pulled the car over in Pontiac, where the passenger was arrested for a Livingston County warrant for delivery of a controlled substance.

During a search of the car, authorities allegedly found 18 grams of crack cocaine, 10 grams of cannabis, and cash.

Those two individuals, who were not named, were charged with class “X” felonies for the manufacture and delivery of controlled substances.

Additionally, authorities conducted a search warrant for the driver and passenger’s home in Aurora.

During a search of the home, Aurora police found nearly 450 grams of cocaine, 79 grams of crack cocaine, and a ghost gun with an extended magazine.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Kane County State’s Attorney’s office and Aurora Police.

The pair remain behind bars in Livingston County.
