CR-V rollover crash in Tazewell County injures 1

TAZEWELL COUNTY – One person was injured as a result of a Wednesday morning single-unit rollover crash in Tazewell County.

According to a crash report from Genelle Jones, a trooper and public information officer with Illinois State Police, the incident happened just before 9 a.m. Wednesday on Interstate 74 headed westbound near milepost 78.5 in Tazewell County.

ISP Troop 4 responded to the scene regarding a report of a single-unit rollover crash.

Preliminary information indicated that a Honda CR-V rolled over on the roadway, and the driver was injured as a result.

The driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment, but their injuries remained unclear as of Wednesday morning. There were no other reported injuries.

Officials removed the CR-V from the roadway and all lanes were reopened just before 9:45 a.m. Wednesday.

There were no further details on what led up to the rollover crash or the driver’s current condition.
