BLOOMINGTON -The Bloomington Police Department is investigating two shots fired incidents that happened over the weekend.
Bloomington police officers heard gunshots just before 9:00 p.m. on Friday being fired near their location, in the 300 block of West Graham Street. Officers canvassed the surrounding area and located evidence of a shots fired incident occurring.
A 21-year old man later approached police with an apparent gunshot wound.
Paramedics with the Bloomington Fire Department transported the victim to an area hospital. The injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
BPD then on Sunday responded to a shot fired call in the area of West Washington Street and Howard Street.
Several callers reported hearing shots being fired in the area around 10:30 p.m.
Patrol officers arrived on scene and conducted an additional follow-up investigation, confirming that gunshot’s were fired off in the area.
There were no injuries or property damage reported as a result of this incident.
The circumstances behind both of these incidents are still pending investigation by the Department. Anyone with information should contact Bloomington Police.
