Bloomington man dies in Tazewell County crash

TREMONT – A Bloomington man was identified as the victim of a deadly crash in Tazewell County on Saturday.

According to the Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley, Jeffrey Flaugher, II, 41, was the sole occupant of a vehicle that left the roadway and crashed into a farm field.

The coroner initially responded to the area near 21000 block of Townline Road in rural Tremont for a single-vehicle crash. Officers initially responded to the crash at 3:47 a.m.

Hanley declared Flaugher dead at the scene at 4:35 a.m.

The autopsy shows that he died from multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the crash.

This incident remains under investigation by the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office and the Tazewell County Coroner’s Office.
