HUDSON – The Illinois State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash that sent two to the hospital on Saturday.
According to the ISP, the crash occurred on Interstate 39 near Hudson at about 8:53 a.m. A car was following a semi-truck. When the truck slowed down due to traffic, the car struck the rear of the truck.
The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The truck driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The southbound lane of I-39 was closed for the investigation but was reopened at about 11:16 a.m.
