Filing petitions close for 2025 consolidated elections

BLOOMINGTON – While many people are focused on next week’s elections, others are filing petitions to be on the ballot next year.

Many local politicians have filed their petitions for the 2025 consolidated elections on April 1. Several local election authorities closed filings for the races around central Illinois on Monday.

Here is a look at some of those who will be running next year:
