A man died and another was hospitalized after two sedans were involved in a collision Saturday morning

BLOOMINGTON – A man died and another was hospitalized after two sedans were involved in a collision Saturday morning.

The Bloomington Police Department was called at 8:02 a.m. to the intersection of West Market Street and Wylie Drive, near the Aldi, to reports of a traffic collision, said Officer Bryce Janssen.

When officers got to the scene, they began life-saving procedures on the driver of one of the vehicles, who died shortly after being transported to a local hospital, he said.

The man driving the other sedan was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, he said.

No cause of the wreck was given, and the incident is still under investigation.
