IDOT to replace culvert on Illinois Route 54

FARMER CITY – The Illinois Department of Transportation announces that work is scheduled to begin Aug. 10 for the removal and replacement of a box culvert under Illinois 54 at the intersection of Township Road 556 between Farmer City and Bellflower.

Township Road 556 will be closed while the work is being completed.

The work is scheduled to last approximately three days. The contractor for this $1.8 million project is Rowe Construction Co. and is part of the ongoing IL 54 rehabilitation project. The estimated completion date is Sept. 14. All dates are weather dependent.
