Uptown Normal roads to close due to weekend events

NORMAL – Due to Worldwide Day of Play, Uptown Block Party and Bike Rodeo taking place this weekend, the following streets will be closed.

On Thursday, portions of the Parkinson Street parking lot will be signed ‘No Parking’ after 12 p.m., excluding reserved spaces.

On Saturday, East Beaufort Street from Uptown Circle to Linden Street, and a portion of the Trail East parking lot, will be signed ‘No Parking’ after 2 a.m. The Parkinson Street parking lot will be closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Parking will be free in the College Avenue parking deck.

Worldwide Day of Play, Uptown Block Party and Bike Rodeo hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
