ISU homecoming parade to cause road closures

NORMAL – Illinois State University’s homecoming parade will be held this Saturday at 10 a.m.

The parade begins at the intersection of University Street and College Avenue, and ends on School Street just south of Locust Avenue. There will be extensive street closures on the parade route, including the majority of Uptown Normal.

On Saturday streets will be signed “NO PARKING” after 2 a.m., will be closed at 6 a.m., and will reopen after the parade as safety permits. The parade route can be viewed here.

Access to the College Avenue Parking deck will be maintained via Mulberry Street and parking will be free on Saturday.

Access to Uptown Station will be maintained via W. Beaufort Street.
