ST. LOUIS – Illinois State soccer’s Ali Farkos has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the final week of the regular season.

Farkos recorded three points in the regular-season finale at Indiana State. The senior assisted the game-tying goal off a corner kick and then scored the game-winning goal with 1:30 left. Farkos launched a shot from 25 yards out that caromed off the post and into the net, which secured a 4-3 victory and home field advantage in the MVC Tournament for the Redbirds.

The award is the first of Farkos’ career. Illinois State finished the season 6-10-2 overall and 3-3 in the MVC.
