Illinois State opens Cancun Challenge tonight

Illinois State continues its three-game homestand by hosting Summit League preseason favorite and 2015 National Invitation Tournament qualifier South Dakota State tonight on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena in the opening round of the Cancun Challenge.

ISU (1-1) is aiming to extend its homecourt winning streak to five-straight games dating back to last season, while SDSU (2-0) is trying to remain undefeated.

The two Missouri Valley Football Conference rivals have never met in basketball.

WJBC 1230 AM, WJBC.com and the Country Financial Illinois State Radio Network will have the action with Dick Luedke, Mike Matthews and studio-host Tim Lewis starting at 6 p.m.
