SPRINGFIELD – The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum will be marking the 150th anniversary of the 16th president's death, and its own 10th anniversary, with a host of new exhibits and activities next year.
In a news release, the museum said Tuesday there will be new digital features that will give visitors immediate access to photographs and documents. There will also be a presentation of artifacts related to Lincoln's death and funeral – including a medallion from the hearse that carried Lincoln's body to the cemetery that apparently hasn't been seen since the 1865 funeral. And the
exhibit that opened last month called “Undying Words: Lincoln 1858-1865,'' will continue.
There will be family, events, including a strawberry social and parties to mark the birthdays of Lincoln's sons.
