BLOOMINGTON – Mike Marietti scored four points and added four steals in his first game back from off-season knee surgery as Illinois Wesleyan overcame 26 turnovers and 21-point first half to hand No. 14-ranked Washington University of St. Louis, 67-57 at Shirk Center.
The Titans (4-2) failed to scored in the final 8:03 seconds of the first half, enabling the Bears (5-1) to erase a 12-point lead and tie the score at halftime. IWU, which was averaged 98 points per game coming in, found its stroke in the second half, connecting on seven of 11 three-point tries.

Brady Rose scored a game-high 15 points. Joel Pennington added 14 points and Bryce Dolan 13. Alec Bausch, who came off the bench after a minor ankle injury in practice during the week, posted a team-high nine rebounds and six points.
The Titans will play their first game away from Shirk Center next Saturday at Loras.
