Second-half surge sends Illinois Wesleyan to victory over Loras

BLOOMINGTON – Illinois Wesleyan shot a blistering 73 percent from the field in the second half to lead the Titans to a convincing 94-72 win at Shirk Center on Tuesday. 

Wesleyan got back-to-back three pointers by Andy Stempel and Joel Pennington to go up 67-43 with 11:26 to go to nearly put the game out or reach.

Dylan Overstreet led IWU with 16 points and five assists to go with five rebounds.  Five other Titans finished in double figures, led by Ryan Coyle and Alec Bauch who both scored 15. 

Bausch, along with Stempel and Pennington provided the Titans with bench support after Tyler Seibring and Coyle got in early foul trouble,

The Titans improve to 7-2. They will play Nazareth College at the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Tournament in Thousand Oaks, Calif. on Dec. 29.
