Grover C. Henson, 101, of Bloomington, passed away at 1:20 a.m. on Dec. 20 at Heritage Manor in Normal.
His Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Bloomington. Memorials may be made to OSF Hospice or Alzheimers Association. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.
Grover was born on Dec. 11, 1914 in Allentown, Ill., a son of Fred and Melda Ellen Godden Henson. He married Florence Oberle on July 3, 1939 in Pekin. She preceded him in death on August 28, 1989.
Surviving are his children, Jim (Bette) Henson of Heyworth, Gary Henson of Auburndale and Pam (Gary) Henson of Bloomington; two grandsons and seven great grandsons.
He was preceded in death by three brothers; three sisters and two grandsons.
Grover was employed as a machinist at Eureka Williams Company for many years. He was a member of the Machinists Lodge 1000.
